Happy St. Patty's Day, y'all!
I've spent a relaxing week at my parents' in Montgomery, Alabama this week with my little ones over their spring break. I was watching the Today Show this morning (one of the things I really enjoyed during this week's slow paced mornings!) and learned the very interesting meaning behind the Irish shamrock, seen everywhere on St. Patty's Day.
Did you know that Saint Patrick used shamrocks to illustrate the holy trinity and the 1 Corinthians 13 principles of faith, hope and love in his teachings to spread Christianity in Ireland? I did not and think this is the coolest thing. Now I like this holiday even more!
To reinforce my new knowledge I created this graphic on my iPad Pro using the Procreate app and my Apple Pencil. I first drew the green shamrock then used the eraser tool with my light calligraphy pen selected as the eraser shape to create the lettering. I just can't get enough of iPad lettering and illustration lately!
What's your fave part of St. Patrick's Day? Tell me in the comments!
xoxo,
B
